Overall objectives of this year’s symposium are to:
- Identify how patient engagement can improve clinical outcomes and decrease patient safety events.
- Apply tools and lessons learned for local Patient and Family Advisory Council groups.
- Summarize the importance of a patient’s experience in their own health outcomes.
- Discuss how patient and family engagement ties to a highly reliable organization.
